It's Springtime & The Living Is Busy

I don't know what it's like where you live, but here in Virginia spring has sprung with a vengence. The gardens and lawn demand attention and refuse to wait. So, I've spent many hours on those demanding tasks, and not on my love of guitar or the web-site.

Don't worry, it looks like another couple weeks will tame the gardens, and the dry weather that sets in during June will slow the lawn down. Then I can get back to the important stuff!

I did get time for a new article on Metronomes. Take a look. From little clickers to drum machines, these tempo setters may bring a yawn to your mind but they'll help with more than rhythm!

Work In Progress:

Coming soon to the web-site!

  • New Songs: Yes, I've got two in mind. One that uses only two chords, and one that allows you to keep you hand in the same basic position. Stay tuned for both "We Bless You Jesus" (an unrecorded song by The Foundry Boys) and "God of Wonders" by Steve Hindalong and Marc Byrd.

SIDEBAR: Keep up to date with all the changes by subscribing to our RSS feed (click to open a window of help and subscription instructions). It will keep you up to date with new pages and other special announcements. I will not overload you with every grammar-fix, new image, or other minor mod.

Cool New Tuner

Everyone needs a tuner. Most beginners need a chord dictionary. And, once you read the new article on metronomes I hope you'll agree that everyone needs one of these handy little practice devices.

Wouldn't it be great if you could get all three in one affordable package? Of course it would.

The new Planet Waves Chordmaster/Tuner/Metronome includes:

  • A Chromatic Tuner - Use the built-in microphone for acoustics, or the input jack for your electric.
  • A Metronome for 20 to 250 beats per minute, with 1 to 9 beats per measure, and LED's for visual assistance in noisy environments.
  • Over 7000 chord diagrams in the palm of your hand!
  • A "lefty" mode for the often overlooked left-handed guitarist!

At less than $40, it's almost essential.

Go For A Big Finish!

I hope you've enjoyed this abbreviated issue of The Bridge. See you next month!
